Hi! We are Keith & Sharon Shemwell owners of West KY Goldens in Central City, KY. We partnered with our daughter & son-in-law Virginia & Steven Burris. West KY Goldens began in 2016 as a family hobby devoted to producing quality Golden Retriever puppies that are raised in a country setting. Our puppies are raised in a healthy, loving environment. All puppies are socialized on a daily basis.
In 2019, we added F1 auburn Goldendoodles to the kennel.

At A KY Touch of Golden, we strive to provide happy, heathy puppies for your enjoyment. All dogs are raised in a safe, loving environment & fed quality high protein foods. Our Golden Retriever puppies are all AKC registered. Our parents to our Goldendoodles are registered with both AKC & CKC. All of our puppies will leave with registration papers.
A Furever Friend
Everyone knows that a dog is man’s BEST friend! Golden Retrievers are known to be the absolute favorite family dogs. They have the best temperament for being around children, seniors, other animals, etc. They have proven to be easy to train & follow commands. They are also fun with kids, adorable snugglers, & effective hunters!

Our newest litter of Golden Retriever puppies arrived on 04/24/2025! We are very excited!! They are expected to go to their new homes mid-June.
Only have TWO males unspoken for from this litter.
